OUR PEOPLE
Rev. Kate Jones - Minister
Rev. Kate was called to ministry with Two Rivers Pastoral Charge in 2018. She graduated from the Atlantic School of Theology in 2017, served her internship in Chetwynd, BC, and was ordained by the Conference of Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario in 2018.
Before answering the call to ministry, Rev. Kate had a career as a physiotherapist, and she lived in Thunder Bay, Ontario for most of her adult life. She describes her call to ministry as feeling like an "itch" - and as she became involved in different parts of the life of the church, the itch just became itchier. Within a month of beginning her studies at the Atlantic School of Theology, Rev. Kate knew that she was exactly where she needed to be.
Rev. Kate knew that Two Rivers Pastoral Charge was the church that she was called to serve because of the strong sense of community within the congregations (and the pastoral charge as a whole), as well as the passion that the people of our congregations carry for living God's love in the world around us.
When she isn't ministering with the people of Two Rivers Pastoral Charge, Rev. Kate can usually be found reading, playing her piano, cuddling her cats, canoeing, or travelling the world!
